Jay Chattaway - Stephen King's Silver Bullet OST

NEW. SEALED.

Real Gone Music

Jay Chattaway got his start arranging charts for Maynard Ferguson’s Orchestra before becoming a go-to composer for ā€˜80s genre pictures, a career path that eventually led him to the musical captain’s chair of various Star Trek TV series and movies. 1985’s Silver Bullet—one of the great werewolf pictures in a decade full of ā€˜em (e.g. American Werewolf in London)—came early in his odyssey, but he was already deftly blending orchestral and electronic timbres with some unexpected flourishes, like the classical guitar on ā€œLooking for Mr. One-Eye.ā€ For the first-ever vinyl reissue of the soundtrack, we’ve accessed superior sound sources, updated the cover art, and pressed it in scarlet and gray ā€œsilver bulletā€ vinyl to match both the souped-up wheelchair of paraplegic protagonist Marty and the projectile that finally does the beast in. Limited to just 600 copies!
