Part of the legendary Staple Singers, along with her father Roebuck āPopsā Staples and her siblings Cleotha, Pervis and Yvonne, this first solo outing was released on Stax Records subsidiary Volt and produced by Staxās Al Bell and Steve Cropper. Included are the single "You're Driving Me (To the Arms of a Stranger)" along with powerful versions of āSon of A Preacher Manā and āA House Is Not A Homeā. The musicians who play on the album is a whoās who of soul including, Isaac Hayes (organ), Steve Cropper (guitar), Donald āDuckā Dunn (bass), and Al Jackson Jr. (drums)
